Podczas wywiadu dla armeńskiej telewizji, Eva i jej producent podkreślili, że Apricot stone to piosenka nawołująca do pokoju i miłości na świecie. Symbolizuje ona także armeńską diasporę. Eva Rivas ma armeńskie i greckie korzenie. Karen Kavaleryan jest znany w eurowizyjnym światku. Był współautorem tekstu m.in. dla Rosji 2002 (Northern Girl) i 2006 (Never Let You Go) oraz sam napisał słowa do białoruskiej propozycji (Work Your Magic) i armeńskiej (Anytime You Need) z 2007 roku. Napisał także tekst dla reprezentantek Gruzji i Ukrainy z 2008 roku.
